Nairobi United FC have escalated their dispute with the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) by filing an appeal at the Sports Disputes Tribunal over a ruling on their abandoned Kenyan Premier League match against Gor Mahia.
The high-profile fixture was abandoned in the 58th minute in December with the score level at 1-1. FKF’s Leagues and Competitions Committee ruled on January 30, 2026, that the match would stand as a draw.
Nairobi United challenged the decision, prompting the Sports Disputes Tribunal to issue temporary orders suspending the FKF ruling and related disciplinary proceedings.
The Tribunal also ordered Nairobi United to serve Gor Mahia and FKF with all appeal documents by 2:00 PM on February 9, 2026.
