Gor Mahia will square off against KCB in a pivotal SportPesa League match, set to unfold at the vibrant Dandora Stadium on Sunday, 5th October 2025. The kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 PM, and anticipation is building as both teams aim to secure valuable points in the league.

The all-time league champions are eager to build on their recent success after clinching a hard-fought victory over Sofapaka in their last match at the same venue.

Head coach Charles Akonnor has voiced optimism about his team’s trajectory, despite a shaky start to the season marked by a disappointing loss to Bidco United.

In an insightful interview with the club’s communications team, Akonnor detailed the adjustments his squad has been making in training.

“We’re very fortunate that we won our last match. The first match was a setback, and it made us realize that we need more options in the final third of the field,” he explained.

Akonnor is focused on refining the team’s attacking strategy, emphasising the necessity for clear-cut chances and effective finishing, particularly in the crucial stages of the game.

“Defensively, we’ve been relatively solid, and we’re committed to maintaining possession,” he added. “However, our main concern lies in creating goal-scoring opportunities. We’ve been diligently working on this aspect every day, including yesterday and today, to ensure we see significant improvements in our next match.”

Gor Mahia’s recent form has been a mix of four draws and a single win in their last five games against KCB, pointing to a pressing need for consistency and decisive performances. The team currently holds three points in the league table, and a second victory today would provide a much-needed boost to their campaign.

On the other hand, KCB enters the match with a competitive edge, boasting two wins and one loss, placing them with a total of six points in the SportPesa League. This match represents a crucial opportunity for both clubs to solidify their positions as they strive to climb the league standings.

Dandora Stadium is expected to be charged with energy as supporters of both teams gather to witness what promises to be a thrilling encounter.

With a historical rivalry between the two sides, all eyes will be on the pitch as Gor Mahia looks to turn the tide in their favour and KCB seeks to maintain their momentum. As the clock ticks down to kickoff, the stakes couldn’t be higher for both teams.
