Congolese striker Gedeon Bendeka Mololia has officially left Gor Mahia, a decision reached through a mutual agreement between the player and the club.

The announcement came via Gor Mahia’s official social media channels, marking the end of Mololia’s stint that began in June 2024, shortly after the departure of fellow striker Benson Omalla, who transferred to Lebanese side Safa Sporting.

Mololia joined Gor Mahia with high hopes, having signed a two-year contract. During his tenure, he made a notable impact in the 2024/2025 season, showcasing his skills by netting four goals in just seven appearances in the FKF Premier League, along with an additional three goals in the Mozzart Bet Cup. His contributions in the field solidified his reputation as an asset to the team.

In their official statement, Gor Mahia expressed gratitude for Mololia’s dedication and service, wishing him the best in his future endeavors.

“We have parted ways with striker Gedeon Bendeka on mutual agreement. We are grateful for his dedication and service and wish him the best in his endeavor,” the statement read, reflecting a spirit of sportsmanship and respect.

As the team looks ahead, Gor Mahia is actively scouting for quality players to enhance their squad for the upcoming season. The club is currently focusing its recruitment efforts during the ongoing TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN), which is co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

This championship provides an excellent platform for identifying potential talent to fortify the team’s roster moving forward.

As Gor Mahia continues to build for the future, fans remain hopeful that new signings will bring fresh energy and talent to the club, allowing them to maintain their legacy as one of the all-time champions in Kenyan football.
