Gor Mahia, has officially appointed Brian Odongo as their new team doctor. With a wealth of experience in sports medicine and physiotherapy, Odongo is set to enhance the club’s medical team and contribute to the health and performance of the players.

Odongo is a licensed physiotherapist with extensive experience managing football teams at both elite and grassroots levels. He has held significant roles as the team doctor for various national and Premier League clubs, where he focused on evidence-based injury prevention, acute care, and rehabilitation.

His commitment to football medicine has proven effective in reducing injury rates and implementing successful return-to-play protocols.

Having worked significantly in Kenyan football, Odongo served as the Team Doctor for the Kenya Women’s National Football Team and as Head of Medical at Nairobi City Stars Football Club.

His familiarity with the culture and demands of Gor Mahia, where he previously worked with the Youth Team, gives him a unique advantage in understanding the specific needs of the club.

Odongo’s impressive skill set includes sports medicine, exercise prescription for injury management, and proficiency in various therapeutic techniques.

His roles have encompassed match-day coverage, injury prevention strategies, and comprehensive athlete wellness support.
