The stage is set for an exciting showdown in the 2025 Mozzart Bet Cup final as Gor Mahia meets Nairobi United on Sunday, June 29., 2025, at the Ulinzi Sports Complex. With a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup up for grabs and national glory on the line, everyone will be watching this match.

Gor Mahia kicked things off with a solid 3-0 win over KSG in the round of 64, then cruised past GAS FC with a 5-0 victory in the round of 32. They advanced with a 2-0 win against Bandari in the round of 16 and took care of Kariobangi Sharks with the same score in the quarterfinals.

For Gor Mahia, winning the Mozzart Bet Cup would be a big deal, marking their return to the continental stage and giving them a chance to end the season on a high note.

On the flip side, Nairobi United has been the underdog story of this year’s competition. They’ve had an incredible season, not only getting promoted to the FKF Premier League but also stealing the spotlight by reaching the final of the Mozzart Bet Cup, taking out four top-tier teams along the way.

Their journey started with a 3-1 victory over Global Connection in the round of 64. They then shocked everyone by knocking out Tusker FC in the round of 32, drawing 1-1 before winning 5-4 in penalties. In the round of 16, they did it again, edging past KCB 6-5 on penalties after a goalless game.

In the quarterfinals, Nairobi United stunned former cup winners Kakamega Homeboyz with a commanding 2-0 win. They faced a tough Mara Sugar side in the semifinals, ending up in a 1-1 draw before winning 3-1 in another penalty shootout.

Now, as they gear up for the final, the freshly crowned FKF National Super League champions are aiming for a memorable double. A win would not only wrap up their amazing season but also earn them a chance to represent Kenya in the CAF Confederation Cup.

On the other hand, Gor Mahia, Kenya’s record champions, are looking for redemption after missing out on the FKF Premier League title to Kenya Police FC. The Mozzart Bet Cup is their last shot at some silverware this season and at making it to the continental level.
