Rooney Onyango has officially moved from Gor Mahia to Norwegian club Sogndal Football. The talented right-back, who recently completed a successful trial, has now been announced as their newest signing. Throughout his time with Gor Mahia, Onyango was a key player, consistently delivering impressive performances, scoring pivotal goals, and providing vital assists.

Sogndal IL was established on February 19, 1926. The team participated in their first season in the top division in 1982, finishing in 11th place. Currently, they compete in the second tier, known as the 1. divisjon, of the Norwegian football league system. Home matches are held at Fosshaugane Campus, which has a capacity of 5,622 spectators.
