“Kenyan football fans are in for another thrilling match this Sunday as the Mashemeji Derby takes center stage,” he declared. “We invite fans to come out in full force and experience the game in a vibrant and festive atmosphere, just like we witnessed last Sunday. League matches should provide an unforgettable matchday experience, and we encourage supporters to cheer for their teams with passion while upholding peace and respect for one another.”

This match, which has faced postponements, reflects the resilience and spirit of Kenyan football, overcoming challenges as both Nyayo and Kasarani stadiums underwent renovations for the upcoming CHAN tournaments in August.

Nyayo Stadium recently came alive with the Women’s World Cup and men’s qualifiers, where Harambee Stars faced Gabon in an electrifying match, attended by a vast fan base and esteemed dignitaries, including President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Hon. Raila Amollo Odinga.

The much-anticipated clash brings both teams together, fueling the quest for bragging rights and the FKF Premier League title. In their last encounter, AFC Leopards fought valiantly but unfortunately lost to the dominant Gor Mahia, igniting excitement and anticipation among fans for this upcoming match.

As the final whistle approaches, one side will soar in celebration, claiming bragging rights until the next battle, while the other will rally together, showcasing the enduring spirit of their rivalry.

Kickoff is at 4 PM.
