Defending champions Gor Mahia faced yet another frustrating goalless draw, this time against Bidco United at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Determined to shake off their recent run of draws and restore their winning spirit, K’Ogalo came into the match with high hopes.

However, resilient Bidco United stood strong, thwarting every attempt and leaving Gor Mahia unable to find the back of the net. Although new head coach Sinisa Mihic remains undefeated, the disappointment was palpable among the passionate Gor Mahia fans. Stay tuned for more updates.

Gor Mahia launched into the match with impressive intensity, eager to secure an early goal that would set the tone. However, Bidco proved to be a formidable opponent, their defense skillfully thwarting attempts from Charles Bbale and Samuel Kapen.

As the game unfolded, both teams struggled to take control, resulting in a fierce battle in midfield. Bidco sought to create opportunities through Idris Amadi on the flanks, but despite their efforts, they couldn’t capitalize on their chances in the first half. Kapen also squandered a promising opportunity just before halftime, leaving the scoreline locked at 0-0.

The second half saw Gor Mahia elevate their attacking efforts, determined to break the deadlock. Unfortunately, Bbale missed several chances, which were primarily half opportunities that could have turned the game. Bidco came close to taking the lead in the 73rd minute, with Victor Eshitushe delivering a precise cross met by Amadi. Yet, Gor Mahia’s goalkeeper, Kevin Omondi, was equal to the task, expertly parrying the ball away from danger.

In a strategic move, Gor Mahia brought on Gedeon Bandeka and Boniface Omondi to bolster their offense, seeking that elusive breakthrough. Despite their determination, Bidco’s defense, anchored by the resolute Brian Okeyo, held strong, ensuring the match concluded in a draw.

This result leaves Gor Mahia firmly in third place with 36 points, five points adrift of league leaders Kenya Police, who experienced a surprising 2-0 defeat to Mathare United earlier at Dandora Stadium. With a game in hand, Gor Mahia still has the opportunity to reclaim the top spot—proving that the pursuit of glory is far from over!
