Gor Mahia head coach Sinisa Mihic exudes confidence and has successfully instilled a renewed sense of belief in his team as they strive to retain the KPL title. Although they faced a frustrating stalemate against Tusker FC on Sunday, Mihic remains steadfast in his optimism about reclaiming their FKF Premier League title.
Throughout the match, Gor Mahia showcased their dominance, controlling play and creating numerous opportunities, but unfortunately, luck was not on their side against a determined Tusker squad focused on defense and counter-attacks. Undeterred, the Croatian coach is committed to reversing their fortunes and solidifying their title defense.
“My team was exceptional; the combinations were top-notch. We made more crosses, stayed composed, and played beautiful football. We commanded 80 percent of the attacking play, and the Green Army is back in action. As a football coach, I genuinely believe we can win the title if we maintain this level of performance,” Mihic asserted passionately after the match, according to Nation.
Gor Mahia’s second-half performance was particularly impressive, as they relentlessly pressured Tusker and kept them pinned in their own half. Despite their fervent attacking intent, they couldn’t find the breakthrough.
Mihic remarked, “The way we transition is comparable to the big teams in Europe. We are a better team, and I am thrilled that we are back. Gor Mahia is back, and I have full confidence that we will be champions.”
This match marked Mihic’s second outing as head coach of K’Ogalo, and it has only fueled his determination to elevate the team’s performance. Currently sitting in third place on the league table with 35 points, Gor Mahia is just four points behind Tusker and six points off the leaders, Kenya Police FC.
As the season heats up, Mihic and his players are poised to build on their strong performances and reclaim their rightful place at the top of Kenyan football. With their unwavering spirit and determination, Gor Mahia is ready to make a statement and chase down the title once again.
