The highly anticipated clash between defending champions Gor Mahia and Tusker FC ended in a frustrating goalless draw at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
Despite Gor Mahia dominating possession throughout the match, they failed to generate any clear-cut chances.

As the first half progressed, both teams relentlessly pursued the opening goal, yet success eluded them. Gor Mahia’s best opportunity came just before halftime from a well-executed corner, but a frantic goalmouth scramble saw the breakthrough remain elusive. The first 45 minutes concluded without a score.
The second half was a mirror image of the first, with Gor Mahia controlling possession but struggling to penetrate Tusker’s solid defense. Geoffrey Ochieng’ came close to breaking the deadlock after connecting with a long throw from Samuel Kapen, but his effort went off target.
Gor Mahia intensified their attack, and coach Sinisa Mihic made decisive substitutions in the 66th minute, introducing Ronney Onyango and Gedeon Bendeka for Paul Ochuoga and Charles Bbaale. Just three minutes later, Tusker had to replace the injured Balecho with Degratious Ojok.
Gor Mahia continued their relentless pursuit, with Gedeon Bendeka and Alphonse Omija both getting close to scoring in the 77th and 80th minutes, respectively. However, Tusker’s defense held strong, securing a valuable point on their travels.
Despite Gor Mahia’s late surge, neither team was able to find the back of the net, resulting in a stalemate.
