Gor Mahia beat Posta Rangers 2-1 in a thrilling match played at Dandora Stadium in Nairobi. The defending champions showed their prowess with a late winning goal by Alphonse Omija in stoppage time, securing the much-needed three points for K’Ogalo.

The game saw Super-sub Gedeon Bendeka opening the scoring for Gor in the 73rd minute, only to be equalized by Felix Mboya of Posta in the 84th minute. However, Gor’s determination prevailed as Omija’s late goal sealed the victory.

The match started cautiously, with both teams gradually finding their rhythm as the game progressed. Posta Rangers’ Brian Otieno and Vincent Wasambo displayed excellent teamwork in the midfield, challenging Gor Mahia’s defense.

Despite a slow start, Gor managed to create opportunities, with Shariff Musa’s early cross testing Posta’s goalkeeper Bixente Otieno. The first half saw both teams settling into the game, with Gor winning a corner kick that unfortunately did not result in a goal.

The victory places Gor Mahia in third position on the table with 31 points, while Rangers remain at the bottom with 17 points.
