Gor Mahia captain Philemon Otieno has called upon the Green Army to maintain their belief as the prepared for the do-or-die final stretch to the FKF Premier League title.

Otieno believes the strength and zeal of mostly known K’Ogalo followers will boost the team’s morale. With just two matches remaining and just two points ahead of Tusker FC, Otieno emphasized the importance of fan support and vowed to do everything in his power to secure the coveted title.

“First of all, I want to thank all our fans wherever they are for their support. It means the world to us. They should come in large numbers and rally behind us,” the skipper said during an interview with Pulse Sports.

Otieno vowed for the strong and consistent pursuit of the title promising they will deliver the cup and be ready for the continental tournament.

“For us as players, we will do what we can to win the title,” he asserted confidently.

Every match is crucial, and the support of the fans becomes a vital factor in motivating the players to perform at their best.

Also echoing Otieno’s sentiment, vice-chairman Francis Wasuna expressed their unwavering belief in the team’s abilities.

“We have full confidence in the players and their capabilities,” Wasuna stated.

The resounding call from their beloved captain, Philemon, to keep the faith and stand firmly behind the team has injected renewed enthusiasm into the fan base.

Gor Mahia will face Kakamega Homeboyz on Wednesday, June 21, at Nyayo Stadium before facing Nairobi City Stars on June 24 at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

With their passionate support and the players’ relentless determination, Gor Mahia aims to seize the title and etch their name in football history once again.
