As the Kenyan Premier League season nears its thrilling conclusion, the atmosphere at record champions Gor Mahia FC are charged with excitement and determination.

The players, led by their goalkeeper Gad Mathews, are confident and focused on claiming the title.

Gor Mahia are left with two matches to complete the campaign and is two points clear at the top of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) standings.

And after keeping another clean sheet last weekend in their 2-0 win against Ulinzi Stars, Gad is convinced they will now go all the way and win the title this time.

“Everybody is well psyched up and the players are also well psyched up. As a team, we are looking forward to winning the remaining two matches to clinch the title,” he said.

Reflecting on the challenging journey Gor Mahia has faced this season; Gad acknowledged the obstacles they have overcome.

“So far, it has not been an easy journey, but we are trying to widen the gap between us and the chasing pack made of Tusker and Nzoia Sugar,” he explained.

With fierce competition from Tusker and Nzoia Sugar, Gor Mahia understands the importance of finishing the season on a high note.

The team has been diligently preparing physically and mentally to ensure they are in top form for the crucial encounters.

Training sessions have been intense, with a strong emphasis on tactical discipline and maintaining peak fitness levels.

Coach Jonathan McKinstry has instilled a winning mentality within the squad.

From the 32 matches played so far, Gor Mahia has claimed 67 points, with Gad keeping 17 clean sheets.

And as they step onto the field for the last two matches against Kakamega Homeboyz and Nairobi City Stars, their eyes are fixed on the prize, ready to leave a lasting mark in Kenyan football history.
