A tough entertaining match pitting two top league contenders Gor Mahia and Tusker FC ended in a goalless draw at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi.
The match which had been tipped as a league decider failed to produce goals as both sides failed to capitalize on the available scoring chances with K’Ogalo squandering most opportunities through winger Boniface Omondi.
Speaking after the match, Gor head coach Jonathan McKinstry rued missed chances but was still satisfied with a point.
“It was a very tight game where both teams played very different styles. I thought we created some good chances but it is unfortunate that we were not clinical. Overall, a draw is a fair result,” he said.
With this draw and their games to go, Hor Mahia is placed second on the league table with 64 points while Tusker has 65 points.
