Gor Mahia are will be resting from FKF Premieeleague for two weeks after their upcoming matches against Wazito and Mathare United were postponed.
Both Mathare United and Wazito FC were in the relegation places at the end of last season’s FKF Premier League, but their resumptions have halted pending cases at the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT).
The court issued a stay order on the decision of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) National Executive to nullify the promotion and relegation of teams in the 2021/2022 season.
The decision was arrived at after APs Bomet and Kona Rangers contested the decision that denied them the promotion to the FKF Premier League and National Super League (NSL) respectively.
Gor Mahia will therefore resume their league campaign on 17th December 2022 when they meet Kariobangi Sharks, giving them a congested fixture schedule once the teams are cleared to feature in the league.
