Gor Mahia forward Samuel Onyango has moved to Zambia and is set to sign a 2-year deal the Kabwe Warriors according to various reports.

Onyango has been with Gor Mahia since 2018 from Ulinzi Stars after he resigned from the military. He has been a key player for the club ever since.

The former Ulinzi Stars and Sony Sugar man is set to move to the Zambian Super League where he is set to replace compatriot, Harrison Mwendwa. Mwendwa left Kabwe in July and signed for Singida Big Stars of Tanzania although the contract was terminated after a couple of weeks.

His departure can be described as a blow as Gor Mahia will not be in a position to replace him. The club is currently serving a FIFA-imposed transfer ban and will only be able to recruit players from January 2023.
