Gor Mahia FC long-serving team manager Mr. Jolawi Obondo has been sent on a 30-day annual leave. The official who has been serving the record football champions for approximately 20 years now, has a decorated history with the premier league giants ranging from continental to local achievements in the same capacity.
In a letter signed by the club’s Secretary General Sam Ochola and copied to the Executive Committee and the CEO reads in part;
It has come to the notice of the secretariat that since the term of the current Executive Committee commenced in August 2020, you’ve not taken your annual leave. This is a period of 2 years now….
The directive takes effect immediately and in his position, Mr. Victor Otieno Nyaoro will be the acting team manager.
Jolawi Obondo will proceed on the said leave on 22nd September 2022 and is expected to be back on 9th November 2022.
