Gor Mahia has signed a three-year sponsorship pact with Sportpesa in a ceremony event in Nairobi. The two entities have partnered once again in a deal worth KSh 80 million per season.
As the official shirt sponsor, the SportPesa name is back on Gor Mahia’s playing kit. In what Gor Mahia termed as ‘coming back home, the club said the move was necessitated by the need for holistic support beyond financial aspects.

K’Ogalo chairman Ambrose Rachier said SportPesa is a valued partner owing to the many value additions it offered the team previously, noting that it helped grow the Gor brand as well as presented opportunities for many of its then players.
“I remember with a lot of nostalgia the great days of our partnership with SportPesa. We played against Everton for their pre-season maiden tour of East Africa back in 2017 and were also accorded the honor to play a game against the same team in November 2018 at their home ground in Liverpool, UK,” said Rachier.
SportPesa chief of executive Ronald Karauri said the company was looking forward to working with Gor Mahia FC again, expressing high delight at having the team back in the fold
“We welcome back home our former partner Gor Mahia. In our previous years of engagement, we achieved a lot of firsts, shattering the ceiling on what is achievable in our local football scene,” said Karauri during the partnership launch at Sarit Centre on Friday, September 23.

As part of the partnership, SportPesa will fully kit the first team and the technical bench, cover the medical insurance costs for club players, and cater for the team’s travel and accommodation expenses as they participate in African Inter-Club Competition.
