Gor Mahia set to lose shirt sponsorship deal

Gor Mahia is set to be left in the hunt for new partners once again after their current club sponsor Betsafe has reportedly terminated their contracts.

The club will lose its sponsorship deal that has been in place for the last two years after the company terminated its supposed three-year deal in unclear circumstances.

The gaming firm had entered into an agreement back in 2020 giving K’ogalo 55 million shillings yearly.

In the second year, however, the amount received by the clubs was slashed by some percentage BrtSafe said the development was due to the reduced revenue in the betting industry, the Covid-19 pandemic, and government interference.

However, with the firm terminating the deal with one year still left, K’ogalo is now faced with the challenge of wooing new potential investors with the state of football in the country a poor state currently owing to the suspension from the world football governing body FIFA.
