Gor Mahia head coach Mark Harisson is upbeat for the midweek match pitting K’Ogalo against Posta Ranges in FKF Premier league clash to be played at Thika Municipal Stadium on Wednesday 26th January 2022 from 3 pm.
K’Ogalo are currently at the fifth position with 27 points from 15 matches, six points adrift of the pacesetters Kakamega Homeboyz.
Posta Rangers on the other side are three places further behind in 8th position with 22 points.
Gor Mahia will be hoping for a win to keep up the pace with the leaders, having drawn the last two matches, both against Bidco FC.
Head coach Mark Harisson is optimistic and focused on bagging all maximum points after what he terms as a good preparation ahead of the mid-week fixture.
“Preparation-wise is as good as we can expect… we played a couple of days ago, so yesterday was more of regeneration and today we just worked on our shape in readiness for the game tomorrow (against Posta Rangers).
“Very little time to sort of straighten out things but we move to the next game with a target of maximum points,” noted head coach Mark Harrison.
On the form table, Gor Mahia is unbeaten in their last five matches but has only won two and drew the other three, Rangers on the other hand have also won two of their last five but lost one and drew two.
On the missing players, coach Harrison stated that Peter Oudu is out injured and three other key players will not be available for selection.
“We will be missing Peter Oudu who is out with an injury and three other players Wendo, Adama, and Benson who are out due to some other reasons which make it difficult.”
The two clubs have met 17 times in the league with Gor Mahia winning nine and losing only twice in this fixture while six matches have ended in draws.
Since George Odhiambo ‘Blackberry’ scored the first goal in the first league meeting in 2010, Gor Mahia have scored 24 goals against the mailmen while conceding only 13.
Berry’s three goals in this fixture is the most by a player and he will be hoping to add to his tally tomorrow.
