Counting hours to CAF money bag as Gor hopes to reach Confederation Cup group stage

In a few hours, Kenya’s most celebrated club will be facing a battle that will either make them proceed or fail to reach the CAF Confederation Cup group stages.

K’Ogalo are just two goals to nothing to withdraw from the CAF coffer substation cash that will enable them to plan on the next stage, making them transfers Africa campaigning for another slot to the quarters.

With a narrow 1-0 defeat by Congolese side AS Otôho d’Oyo, Gor Mahia needs a win with a large goal margin against the visitors in a high-profile match to be staged at Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday 5th December 2021 from 4.00 PM (1600hrs).

K’Ogalo were later reduced to nine men on 76 minutes after the dismissal of Shafik Batambuze, Petro pressed hard for an equalizer that would have given them a last-eight place.

Will it be another celebration at Nyayo National Stadium or a sad face for 10,000 fans allowed to attend coming out of the newly refurbished National sports arena?

Captain Haron Shakava will lead the lean squad of sixteen players registered to grace the occasion and is determined to give a deserving result in the Sunday continental play-off second leg match.

All eyes are on the squad that will be named with Gad Mathews being the possible custodian with Jules Ulimwengu and John Ochieng’ who were denied chances to play in the first leg for allegedly testing positive of COVOD-19 test.
