Kenya all-time champions and CAF Confederation quarter-finalist Gor Mahia are set and ready for the Congolese side AS Otôho d’Oyo in the first leg for CAF CC knock-out stage at Stade Alphonse Massamba Debat in Brazzaville, Congo.

Gor Mahia will be meeting the Congolese side for the first time and are prepared for the challenge.

K’Ogalo eliminated Sudan’s Al Ahly Merowe to set up a date with the Congolese side who dropped out from the CAF Champions League after losing 4-2 on aggregate to Petro de Luanda from Angola.

In 1989 as defending champions of the Africa Cup Winners Cup, Gor Mahia met Inter Club in the quarter-finals of the competition, winning 2-1 in Nairobi courtesy of goals by Hezron Osuka and Peter Dawo, before losing 4-1 away in the return leg.

More recently in 2015, Gor Mahia lost by identical 1-0 scores home and away to AC Leopards in a first-round tie of the CAF Champions League.

K’Ogalo an in good mood in the camp with only one aim, to reach the CAF CC group stages. The return leg will be on 5th December 2021 at Nyayou National Stadium in Nairobi.

The match kick-off time is 5.30pm.
