Gor Mahia will pick on struggling Mathare Unites in today’s Betking Premier League scheduled for 3.00 pm at Ruaraka grounds.

Mathare United have been struggling in the league this season, having lost in 5 games and and a only one draw in six games they have played before the league was put on hold due to COVID-19 epidemic.

But K’Ogalo is prepared well with the team captain optimistic of a good result in today’s match. In their first-leg meeting, Gor Mahia won by 3 goals to 1 in January and expecting to bag maximum points against the slum boys.

“Tough game because they ( Mathare Utd) are fighting relegation. We haven’t recovered well due to the tight fixtures and coming from another tough game against Bidco, we will give it our best and hope for good results.” Haron Shakava said during training on Tuesday.

Head coach  Carlos Manuel Vaz Pinto expect full concentration on the game, urging his player to work extra hard and get the points needed for the title chase.

“This is a maximum demand game. we must be very focused and committed to what we have to do to win the game”, Pinso said.

A win for K’Ogalo will push them closer to the league’s top contenders (Tusker, KCB, and AFC Leopards) making the race tight before the 30th deadline.
