The much anticipated Betway Cup semi-finals will be played today as arch-rival AFC Leopards meets Equity Bank FC before K’Ogalo gets to the battlefield against Bidco United at Utalii grounds – Nairobi.

Bidco has vowed to tame the all-time Kenya Champions Gor Mahia in today’s game that will kick-off at 3.30 pm. and will live on local channel TV – K24.

“Gor Mahia is beatable my only worry is their backline. I watched their game against Sharks and they played with eight defenders, but we will tame them”, Anthony Akhulia tweeted after Gor Mahia’s game against Sharks.

The two last meetings in the FKF Premier league saw Gor Mahia register a 3-1 win with Cliftom Mhiheso carying the day as the man of the match (read Gor beats Bidco 3-1 giving hope to the title race).

Speaking to Mozzart Sport, Gor Mahia’s assistant coach Sammy “Pamzo” Omolo said that it was not yet time to talk about breaking an 8-year duck having in mind that Bidco will be a tough opponent.

“Not yet. We cannot talk about the cup yet, we have to look at the game against Bidco. They are a tough opponent and it will be a good challenge but we will give out best,” Omolo said.

A win for K’Ogalo gives them a slot to the finals with a winner of the tournament getting Kshs 2,000,000 and a ticket to continents CAF Confederation Cup
