Gor Mahia Youth team continues to do what they love most even though they are facing financial strains during their matches.
The lads are currently playing Division One league pitting them with zone A teams from the Nairobi, Eastern, and Coastal regions.
Their latest win 2-0 against third-placed Viper Sports is a clear indication that the team is improving from previous poor performance and coming back to their great form seen in the past years.
Since its formation in 2014, the youth team under the umbrella of Gor Mahia Fans Foundation impressed many and gave opportunities you many players who are not playing in top tier leagues both locally and internationally.
The products of the youth team include FC Masr midfielder Cliff Nyakeya, FC Dila Gori (Georgia) midfielder Amos Nondi, Kitwe United (Zambia) midfielder Teddy Osok among others.
Locally, the senior team has seen the fruits of the academy with the midfielder Alpha Onyango showcasing what he is good at in the FKF Premier League and goalkeeper Caleb Omondi.
Financial challenges have caused a huge setback to the team making it struggle to honor away matches that require an adequate logistical arrangement.
The team is seeking financial support from well-wishers and football lovers to enable them to meet financial needs and with no huddles honor their Division One league fixtures.
