Kenneth Muguna has explained why he threw the armband when he was subbed off in the game against KCB on Sunday.

The captain insists that he did nothing wrong revealing that he was just trying to save time.

A section of fans criticized him and termed his action to be disrespectful to the club and the leadership role handed to him.

“People are getting it wrong, that was not the first match that I was substituted this season, I was even subbed off in the game against Homeboyz and there is no point of me walking up to where Charles is to give him the armband”, Muguna said during Tuesday training.

“I did not throw it to the ground, I threw it to him and also ran out of the pitch, if I was angry I would have walked I hurried off so that the person being subbed on can have time to turn around the game”, he added

Gor Mahia faces Posta Rangers on Wednesday 10th March for a rescheduled Betking Premier League match.
