Kudos to K’Ogalo for a good fight

Even in disarray and turmoil with hurdles faced, Got Mahia team surprised many and they faced Zambian side Napsa Stars in a run-off stage of the CAF Confederation Cup in Lusaka on Sunday evening.

The team landed 35 minutes to the game, a journey of 2400 moles away. The team displayed spectacular performance scaring away the confident opponent who had assurance of reaching the continental tournament group stage with ease after winning away a week ago.

It took the host 96 minutes to book the CAF CC group stage in a controversial penalty given at the last second of the game.

That purely shows how great the team is even with the current management challenges they face. Their resilient fight is a clear demonstration of a team that can go far if well managed.

Fan’s cries of poor management have been in the air for a long time and the time to rectify this is either now or never. The rot in the management has attributed to many suffering of players and the technical bench.

Accumulated salaries and allowances delay affected even though stable sponsors are in place to provide the financial support needed.

K’Ogalo is yearning for consistency in management and coaching staff. Having a new coach every season new players hinders the team development for the team.

The issue of mismanagement of finances in the club has been a common issue, in fact, a habit that has developed for a long time. The club management seems to be contented with the vice at the expense of hard-working players and the technical bench.

For the glory of yesteryear to come back, K’Ogalo needs to reset in all departments and make the followers happy again.
