Brave Gor miss out of CAF CC group stage by a whisker

Gor Mahia missed the CAF Confederation Cup group stage after containing the host Napsa Stars with a narrow to the last second of the game.

K’ogalo were leading 2-1 up to the last minute of added time to concede a goal courtesy of a controversial penalty awarded to the host.

Charles Momanyi tackle inside the penalty area was booked for a penalty, giving host a chance so score to make in 3-2 aggregate in favor of Napsa Stars.

Samuel Onyango opened the scoreline in the 17th minute but it was short-lived as the equalizer came a minute later through Austine Banda.

K’Ogalo did not relent to any pressure and in a span of 2 minutes, (20″) another goal came through Clifton Miheso. A goal that stood on the lead to the last minute of the game.

Gor created many chances with Samuel Onyango coming close to score his second goal of the game, but Napsa Stars goalkeeper denied him the chance in the 48th minute.

Another chance was from John Macharaia but his effort from close range, went wide.

K’Ogalo will now be back home for the BetKing Premier league to fight for next season’s Champions League slot.
