CAF CC: Fans restricted from Nyayo Stadium

Gor mahia vs NAPSA Stars will be played in an empty stadium after all.

This is after the groverment rejected the request from MoH to allow 30% fans to attend the stadium.

The letter from the club’s office adviced K’Ogalo followers do avoid the venue with a message of an apology.

“In view of the latest development arising from a communication from Ministry of Health, we wish to advice our fans the the earlier communication on the attendance of out CAF Confederation Cup playoff match 1st leg against Napsa Stars of Zambia invide this press release revised”, reads the press statemnet.

“We apologize for inconvenience caused leading to your inability to throng the stadium to offer your usual unbridled support to our great team to victory in this crucial qualifying match. Kindly let us keep off the prescind of the stadium to avoid confrontation with the security personnel deployed to ensure the strict observance of heath proto currently in force”, reads the letter.

But former Gor Mahia CeO Lordvick Aduda who has vast knowledge on football rules and administration believes the cancellation was done in bad faith

“This is a CAF match and the regulations cannot be changed,once we have an authorization letter from the MOH, the Match Com who is the CAF representative will allow, nothing short of a letter from MOH is a waste of time, let us wait if we have the letter fair deal if we don’t have the letter please let us not give the Match Com reason to cancel the match and award Napsa the game”, Aduda cited.

the match kicks-off at 3.00pm and will not be aired on any broadcast channels.
