The D-day is here and it’s a turning point and Gor Mahia faces CR Belouizdad of Algeria in the second leg CAF Champions League to be played at Nyayo National Stadium – Nairobi.

K’Ogalo is going to this game with a 6 – 0 deficit, a goal figure the is next to impossible to overturn, but they say football is 90 minutes and things can turn around.

Whichever with K’Ogalo can register at home, there will be hope from her fanbase the team have settled and can perform in the season.

It had been a shaky start for the defending champions due to several issues including finances and an unstable technical bench. The team had to call upon the services of the club legend and poster Tanger Head Coach Sammy Omollo after CAF disqualified the head coach Roberto Oliveira for lack of coaching certificates required for the tournament.

The team has also lost her assistant coach Patrick Odhiambo who is believed to be on his way to coastal side Bandari FC.

Beating the North African side with a large margin (at least 7 goals to nill) to qualify for CAF CL group stage will be uphill, but a win will rejuvenate the team’s thirst for winning ways.

The stand-by coach Sammy Omollo is confident today’s outcome will be impressive more so to the fact that some key players who missed the first leg are now available.

“So far so good, I like the way we have trained. we have no pressure, I have spoken to the boys and they just want to enjoy the game”, Omollo said during training on Tuesday.

Captain Kenneth Muguna assured fans that they will do their best to register a win in today’s match.

“Of course it is possible, you see they scored it in 90 minutes and we have another 90 minutes so it is possible, we will fight until the end and see what will come out”, Muguna said.

The game kick-off time is 3.00 pm. and will be played at a closed-door at Nyayo stadium – Nairobi.
