Gor Mahia registered members and fans have come out to assist the team with daily transport to and from training as the team prepares for the CAF Champions League return leg match against Algerian side CR Belouizda.

Through the former Organizing Secretary Judith Nyangi, K’Ogalo members and fans have contributed towards player’s transports meant to Camp Toyoyo.

The team is facing many financial challenges with players going without salaries for months, making it difficult to commute for training.

Nyangi presented the first batch of contributions of Kshs. 3900 on Sunday 3rd January 2021 with the second batch (Ksh. 7200) given today Monday(4th Jan 2021)

“It is quite unfortunate that the team is experiencing tough situations but we will play our part to ensure the team performs well in the second leg of the competition,” Nyangi said when she attended the training session on Sunday where only 12 players reported.

“The fans have contributed some money to ensure we have more players in training on Monday. The coach requested we have as many players as possible to ensure he trains them well ahead of the game”, the former Organizing secretary added.

The Wednesday match will however be played in a closed-door and no fans will be allowed to enter Nyayo Stadium. This has been confirmed by FKF CEO Barry Otieno.
