It was almost a full house today at Camp Toyoyo as the team got ready for the CAF Champions League – return leg to be played on Wednesday at Nyayo National Stadium – Nairobi.

Almost the whole team was present with 5 missing during the Monday Training.

Tito Okello is down with malaria while Benard Ondiek pulled a quat muscle that will heal over time.

With Schools opened, the sevices Benso Omala might be minimal as he had reported back to school.

Ernest Wendo and Walaguna were absent from today’s training too due to personal issues.

Captain Kenneth Muguna joined the training and is expected to be available for selection this Wednesday. Muguna had a knock on his rib while on duty against Tusker on December 16, forcing the creative midfielder out of Gor’s first leg encounter against Algeria’s CR Belouizdad in their Caf Champions League tie in Algiers last week, where the team succumbed to 6-0 loss.

But he is now okay and getting ready to face the Algerian side on Wednesday 6th January 2020 as stated by the Team Manage Jolawi Obondo.

“I visited Muguna late last week and he is doing good and we expect him to resume training next week. I also expect all the players to turn up for training today for the CAF match ahead of us,” Obondo said before the midfielder resumed training.

Gor Mahia is having an uphill task this Wednesday, trying to overturn a big loss they had in Algeria to sail them through to the CAF CL Group Stage.
