Gor Umoja Branch electronic election set for a weekend

The famous Gor Mahia FC Umoja Branch will on Saturday 3rd October 2020 hold their election electronically. This was announced by the branch leadership.

Formed more than ten (10) years ago, Umoja Branch has been at the for-front, chipping in when called upon to assist the club in any form.

The branch Patron Engineer Mike Musa saw the repair of the club’s bus, which has enabled the team to easily make trips to the training ground near Two Rivers Mall.

The outgoing Chairman James Onyango will however not defend the seat and has urged members to vote peacefully.

“Am happy with the planning of the election and I trust best candidates will carrying the day”, Onyango said.

“I will not be defending the seat as I have served long enough and would love to hand over the leadership to new blood. I feel so satisfied and hope the new office will take the branch to the next level”, the outgoing chairman added.

The branch is proud of 56 active members with its Patron welcoming the move to have the election done in a professional way.

Other current officials include Secretary-General Evander Ochieng and Organizing Secretary George Odera assisted Collins Kwala.

The voting time will open from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm.
