Gor Mahia FC election to be held on 8th August 2020 will be done electronically.
In a notice letter to club members, the electoral board stated that voter education will be conducted and all registered members will be eligible to vote.
The electoral board shall conduct a voter education on the voting process prior to the election date. Only registered members will be eligible to vote”, reads the statement.
The board also clarified that voter’s list will be posted on the new club online platform – gormahiafc.com
Only four posts are up for grab as the new club’s constitution takes effect, a direction necessitated by the need to comply with the Sports Act 2013 which directs that only three officials are mandated to run the affairs of the club.
These include Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary-General and Honorary Treasurer.
Chairman

Sitting chairman Dr. Ambrose Rachier will be going to the poll for the fourth time, twice under the old and new constitution respectively. Rachier so far hasn’t gotten any candidate to challenge him.
Rachier has seen K’Ogalo win 7 KPL titles among other local trophies and several club continental appearances in the last ten years.
Apart from being the chairman of Gor Mahia, Ambrose Rachier is a Founder and Senior Partner of Rachier & Amollo Advocates. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya for over 30 years standing.
Vice Chairman

Vice-Chairman post has attracted two incumbents, Sally Bolo, the Current treasures and Sitting first Senior Vice-Chairman Mr. Francis Wasuna,
Francis Wasuna has been in the club’s leadership for the last 9 years as Senior First Vice-chairman along the other three vice-chairmen. A lawyer by profession, Francis Wauna holds a bachelor of Law in banking, corporate, finance and security.
He is the founder of Wasuna and Company Advocates a firm established in 1994. Wauna has been in the forefront in promoting club activities.

At the helm of the treasury, Sally has worked under the chairman for four years, managing club finances and have seen K’Ogalo win 4 KPL titles and club advancing to CAF CC quarter-finals.
A Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management and Project Management and a Masters in Business Administr holder, Sally is a highly qualified and experienced Human Resources Management and Organisational Development Practitioner and Consultant. Her main specialization is in management and HR Advisory.
Miss Sally has been n the banking industry for many couple of years.
Secretary-General

Sam Ochola, a renowned businessman will be running for Secretary-General. He narrowly lost to Ben Omondi in the last election. His challenger Ronald Ngala has so far put a cold feet on the race probably due to strict academic requirements.
Sam Ochola, a founder of Digital Association of Kenya and a life member of the great football club in Africa, holds a master degree in Business Management and Administration. His passion for Gor Mahia has seen him actively involved in the club, sponsoring the club’s Youth team for the last three (3) years.
Honorary Teasurer
But the hottest contest is the docket of Honorary Treasurer. The post has attracted new and aggressive personalities in the K’Ogalo circle. Sitting Organizing Secretary Judith Nyangi, Financial expert Mr. Chrispine Okoth and new face but renown lady in K’Ogalo circle Mrs. Dolfina Onduto are on high gear campaigning for the treasury docket.

Mr. Chrispine Okoth has come forward to challenge the ladies in the Honorary treasury race with more experience and better academic papers. Okoth holds Masters degree in Finance, Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship.
He is also a Certified Public Accountant, Bachelor of Commerce holder, and Diploma in Information Technology among other qualifications. Mr. Okoth is currently Vice Chairman of Gor Mahia Youth Yeam. He is also a member of Gor Mahia Branches Chairmen Association and Chairman of Gor Mahia Family Branch.

Mrs. Dolfina Onduto has been at the forefront in supporting Gor Mahia through fundraising initiatives under the umbrella of Gor Mahia Augmentin Fund. The group raises funds to settle Gor Mahia players’ and technical bench winning bonuses and training allowances. They have been also giving support to the Gor Mahia Youth team on some occasions.
She holds Masters degree in Human Resource from Open University of Tanzania – Ruvuma Regional Center and Bachelor of Arts at Punjab University in India. Dolfina has promised to hold the office with integrity it requires.

Outgoing Organizing Secretary Judith Nyangi is well known for her fundraising and resource mobilization ability, attracting great personalities to assist K’Ogalo during the difficult financial time. A business lady, a wife and mother, Judith has featured in many activities including assisting in Youth Team development, players and fans welfares.
