Gor Mahia is set to use online electronic system for the first time in the forthcoming election as was stated by the current club chairman Ambrose Rachier.

The direction has been taken with respect to the Government regulations to manage the spread of COVID-19.

“I wish to repeat that the voting process will be through the electronic system with only registered members allowed to vote”, Said the chairman.

“We are all aware of Covid-19 control measures that can’t allow public gatherings. The best and easy platform will be used and members will be advised on the process well in advance before voting day,” he added.

K’Ogalo is set to go for the polls on 8th August 2020 to elect new office bearers for the next four (4) years.

Under the new club constitution, only four (4) elective slots will be filled with a set of functional secretariat to be appointed by the executive.

Positions set for the contest are Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary-General and Honorary Treasurer.

A number of candidates have declared their interests in various positions. Thee includes the sitting Chairman Ambrose Rachier who will defend his seat and current treasurer, Miss. Sally Bolo who has moved to contest for Vice Chairman position.

Three-member board has been set up to oversee the whole process. They will be having their first sitting on Saturday 4th July to deliberate on the modes of the election process.
