To celebrate the International Day of the African Child, Gor Mahia fans under a group called Kulundeng extended their support to the girl child at Bondeni in Mathare, Nairobi by donating sanitary towels to the young girls.
This is part of the Social Corporate Responsibility (CSR) the fans are engaging during this Covid-19 outbreak – a worthy exercise to support the needy in informal settlement within the capital of Nairobi.
The team put a smile in the faces of over 400 girls in Mathare and in return, the girls thanked the team for the great support they are giving to them and to the community at large.
On Kulundeng part, the Logistics officer Ochieng’ Changes said: “The support will not only be a one-off affair but together with other well-wishers and NGOs, we will ensure that the girl child, not only in Mathare but in other parts of Nairobi as well will get our support in a number of ways. I truly believe in what Kulundeng members stand for and we hope to do more of such to the community.”
Over 600 packets of sanitary towels were delivered in this second phase of the CSR in less than a month and Kulundeng aims to do even more as they strive to achieve their target of offering support to the community.
