Gor Mahia resume domestic cup action with their opening round tie against Kenpoly in the FKF Sportpesa Shield today in Machakos as from 3pm.
Last season, Gor Mahia met the same opponents in the second round of the competition, thrashing them 5-0 courtesy of a hat-trick from Ephrem Guikan and further goals by Lawrence Juma and an own goal.
Gor Mahia last won their eighth trophy in this competition in 2012 and last season lost out to eventual winners Kariobangi Sharks in the semi-final stage. The winner of this tie will meet Bandari in the next round of the competition with the overall winner of the competition earning the right to represent Kenya in the CAF Confederations Cup.
