Gor Mahia Youth played to a one all draw away to CMS in FKF division 2 Eastern Zone (Zone C) at the Jacaranda Grounds, Ruiru today.
The Gor Mahia side struggled in the opening half with home team taking advantage to press in search of a goal with goalkeeper Caleb Oluoch making numerous saves.
CMS got their goal in the 12th minute after lapse in concentration in Gor’s defense. A cross from the left side was not dealt with resulting in a easy tap-in to send the two sides to breather with a 1-0 scoreline.
The second half started with the home team being defensive and engaging in time wasting antics.
CMS keeper made several saves from attempts by Kevinton Machika, Sam Oluoch and Eliud Lokuwam.
The lads kept on pushing for equalizer and were rewarded in the 90th minute when Alfayo Oyugi’s corner kick was flicked by Sam Oluoch and fell perfectly for Llyod Kavuchi to finish.
Gor could have added a second one in the added minutes but CMS defence cleared the danger.
With the draw, Gor Mahia Youth remain top of the log with 23 points after 9 games, winning seven and drawing two.
