Gor Mahia FC team arrived Tueday morning in Cairo, Egypt to a warm reception by host by host Zamalek SC ahead of their return duel.
Speaking to the club’s media team, the club’s CEO, Mr Lordvick Aduda confirmed Zamaleks kind gesture and are in good shape for the forthcoming game in Alexandria.
In addressing the website team,Aduda stated, “We are all fine, the team arrived safely in Cairo yesterday (Tuesday 6th March 2019) morning and were received well by Zamalek officials. They gave the team a good bus for two and a half hour ride to Alexandria”.
“The team had its first training session today in one of the training facilities within the complex at 11am Egyptian time with the mood and spirits are high”. added Aduda.
“No serious injuries to the travelling squad though we will miss out on the services of Shafiq Batambuze who is out on suspension having accumulated consecutive yellow card booking but we are glad having back Oliech in time for this crunch tie as we seek to finish at the top of the group “, concluded. A win and a double over Zamalek will solidify the teams progress for the quarter finals stage of the CAF Confederations Cup tournament.
