Gor Mahia Youth team beat Tandaza FC 1-0 in FKF division 2 Eastern Zone (zone C) match played at the UoN Lower Kabete Campus grounds today.
The lads created numerous chance in the opening half of the match but they just couldn’t utilize them well.
The main highlight of first half was a super free-kick save by Gor Mahia Youth goalkeeper Caleb Omondi at the edge of the box on 40th minute.
The two teams went into half break with no goal on the score sheet.
In second half, Gor Mahia Youth pinned their opponents in their own half with several chances going to waste.
It was until the 76th minute when the ever industrious Sam Oluoch beat the Tandaza center backs to set through Llyod Kavuchi with a neat pass to nail the lone goal that separated the two sides.
Gor Youth controlled the game denying the Tandaza side any meaningful chance to get a goal.
With the win, Gor Mahia Youth are second on the log with 13 points after five games.
