A hat-trick from Ugandan Erisa Ssekisambu and another goal from striker Dennis Oliech helped Gor Mahia beat Mount Kenya United 4-1 in a league match at Kasarani today.
With the win, Gor Mahia have moved up the log to fourth place with 13 points from seven matches played so far and four points behind league leaders Mathare United.
Gor Mahia led 1-0 at half-time courtesy of Ssekisambu’s early strike.
After the break they doubled the lead through substitute Dennis Oliech before Mount Kenya pulled one back through former Gor’s player Moses Odhiambo.
Ssekisambu restored the two goals cushion shortly afterwards before completing the league’s first hat-trick this season in the closing minutes of the game.
Gor Mahia travel to Cameroon for their return CAF Confederations Cup playoff match against New Star Doula over the weekend.
