Gor Mahia takes on Mount Kenya today in a catch-up match today at Kasarani as from 4pm. A win for K’Ogalo will take them to 13 points, four points behind league leaders Mathare United.

Gor Mahia have played Mount Kenya – formerly Nakumatt FC, four times in the league before – winning thrice and drawing once. The last meeting between the two ended in a 2-2 draw in Machakos in their second leg fixture last season with Gor Mahia scoring through Ephrem Guikan and Boniface Omondi.

This fixture has produced 11 goals with K’Ogalo scoring nine of those. Meddie Kagere remains the top scorer in this fixture with his hat-trick in the opening game of last season.

With Gor Mahia gearing for a return leg in CAF Confederation Cup in Cameroon this weekend, it is expected that the gaffer will rotate the squad with Dennis Oliech expected to lead the attack as he did against Rangers.
