The 23rd edition of Total CAF Champions League 2018/2019 draws have been released by CAF.

Gor Mahia have been drawn against Malawi’s Nyasa Big Bullets in the preliminary round of the 2018/2019 CAF Champions League. Gor Mahia will host the first leg on the 27th November 2018.

Speaking to official website, Gor Mahia CEO Mr. Aduda confirmed that the draws have been done and it’s now time to switch gears to prepare for the tournament.

“CAF Champions League draws are out, we now know our opponents and the duty ahead is to prepare well for the tournament” – Aduda.

He went ahead to add, “the team will be landing tomorrow from England and possibly have a day or two to rest before they embark on serious training. Our technical bench headed by Dylan Kerr will draw a training program once they get back in the country.”

The plane carrying the team will hit the runway at 8pm EAT today(from London) and is expected to land at JKIA tomorrow in the morning.

This will be the second time Gor Mahia will be facing a team from Malawi in continental football, having eliminated Yamaha Wanderers (later known as Limbe Leaf and currently MTL Wanderers) way back in 1977.

Formed in 1967, Nyasa Big Bullets are considered the most successful club in Malawi and is expected to provide Gor Mahia with a stern test.
