Kevin Omondi has been handed a starting role against Young Africans in today’s Caf Confederation Cup match in Tanzania.

Head coach Dylan Kerr made a number of changes to the team that walloped the Tanzanian side 4-0 in Nairobi in first leg encounter.

Goalkeeper Boniface Oluoch is back between the sticks as Shaban Odhoji drops to the bench.

Defender Joash Onyango replaces Charlses Momanyi at the centre back as Samuel Onyango too gets a place in the starting team.

Omondi’s surprise inclusion in the starting team comes after his scintillating performance in a mid-week match where he nailed a brace to help the team beat Posta Rangers 3-1 in Sportpesa Shield tournament match.

Gor Mahia are second in Group D with five points – two behind USM Algier who will be hosting Rayon Sports in another Group D match.

A win for Gor Mahia will take them to eight points and that will be a great step towards the Caf Confederation Cup quarters journey.

Lineup:

29. Boniface Oluoch, 26. Philemon Otieno, 2. Godfrey Walusimbi, 12. Joash Onyango, 18. Haron Shakava, 30. Humphrey Mieno, 8. Francis Kahata, 6. Samuel Onyango, 25. George Odhiambo, 14. Kevin Omondi, 9. Jacques Tuyisenge

Sub:
