Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr appreciated the kind of performance his side exhibited against Posta Rangers in Kisumu today.

The league leaders outclassed their opponents with a 5-0 win to stretch the gap at the top to 46 points – 12 points clear with two matches in hand.

Two goals in opening half through strikers Jaques Tuyisenge and Ephrem Guikan gave Gor Mahia the deserved lead before George Odhiambo netted a brace in the second half and midfielder Lawrence Juma closing what was a good day with a late finish to make it five.

The elated Briton told the official Gor Mahia website that his instructions to the team were to score goals.

“We started the game in a positive manner after a shock departure… I told the team to score goals and we did exactly that and should have had many more. Two goals ruled out for off-side, two hit the bar, four amazing saves by the posta keeper and four missed efforts,” he said.

Kerr believes in collective effort thus not placing the success or the achievements of the team so far on an individual player.

“This team is about everyone… NOT one player. I am very proud of this team and l can say we are on the right direction.”

The team will playing another league match on Friday against SoNy in Kisumu before heading to Tanzania for Cecafa competition.
