Gor Mahia top scorer Meddie Kagere has said he is ready to listen to what the club will offer him to continue delivering his services.
This comes after a lot of rumours have been sizzling in the air that the striker could be ditching Gor for a Tanzanian club very soon.
“l signed a short term contract with Gor Mahia but l am ready to listen to what will be offered for me to extend my stay. Talks should be on and if we agree on terms, l will definitely stay and continue doing what l do best,” he said.
Kagere’s contract was to end this year in June but that doesn’t distract him as he offer his best to the team in every match.
The striker acknowledges the efforts of his team mates in his performance so far.
Kagere, who is the club’s top scorer in league matches with eight goals, told the official Gor Mahia website that he is happy being the top scorer and the whole team is to thank for that.
“As a foward player, my work is to score goals and l thank God goals have been coming my way. It’s just a blessing and all happens with the help of my teammates,” said the striker who was also the top scorer in the just concluded SportPesa Super Cup tournament.
Asked if he has a season target on number of goals, the experienced striker said he is leaving it open and just taking every game as they come.
“l can’t really set or say l have a target on goals to score… l always see game by game and the rest l leave it to God.”

June 14, 2018Continuity is good in this case. The club should extend his stay so that we give our best in CAFCC. At this point we can only add a strike to learn from him after extending his contract. The earlier the better.
