Gor Mahia defender Wellington Ochieng’ is happy to return to the team after recovering from an ankle injury he sustained three months ago.
Ochieng’, who was a regular starter before the set back which kept him out of active football since March, feels good on reuniting with his team mates and is keen on working hard to regain his form.
“lt really feels good to be back to the team as l missed this family. I feel at home and l am just working hard to get my form and fitness back,” the right back defender told the club’s website.
Ochieng’ is aware it won’t be easy for him but he is determined to work and be at his best.
“It’s not easy after that lay off. l am not that fit like my mates but l am focused on working hard to get back to my best. l know there is competition for positions in the team but that’s a healthy competition which is good and I accept it. l am always ready for such,” he added.
The head coach Dylan Kerr also is delighted to have the defender back and he appreciate his attitude as a player.
“It’s good to have Wellington back to the team. He is a great player with an attitude of a winner,” said Kerr.
The defender joined his team mates in Nakuru where they have been engaged in SportPesa Super Cup tournament for the last one week.
