Kagere aims to achieve more in Super Cup

Gor Mahia striker Meddie Kagere is aiming to achieve more in SportPesa Super Cup with the final match against Simba coming up on Sunday in Nakuru.

Kagere is currently the tournament’s top scorer with three goals from two matches and he says he can’t really predict how many goals he will get but the aim is to get more.

“I can’t really predict how many goals l will achieve, it’s only God who knows but my aim is to better what l have done so far. l will make good use of every chance that will come my way,” Kagere told the club’s official website.

The experienced striker appreciates their Sunday’s opponents and says the team spirit is good which means a great match is in store.

“At Gor Mahia, the team spirit is good and we are looking foward to the match on Sunday. Simba is a good side and l think the final match will be an entertaining game between two giants,” he added.

Kagere has scored six goals in total in Super Cup – three in Tanzania last year and three this year and he says: “Am always thankful to God when it comes to my individual performance. l do appreciate the efforts and good work of my team mates – they hugely contribute to my achievements as well.”
