[dropcap]G[/dropcap]or Mahia head coach didn’t hesitate to praise his players for taking in given instructions in a league match they pulled a 1-0 win over SoNy in Kisumu today.
The tactician said their opponents decided to play behind the ball making situation hard but simple instructions made the difference.
“Players actually listened to our game plan and it worked against a difficult side to break down. All 11 SoNy players played behind the ball and we just had to play clever – move the ball around and be patient,” Kerr exclusively told Gor Mahia website.
Despite the win, frustrations were pointed out and the Briton said at times, things don’t just work out as desired.
“Our frustration is that we always want to score, make the impossible pass or cross or shot and to be fair, the SoNy keeper was man of the match,” he added.
It was a fixture of contrasting interests as Gor Mahia looked to extend the lead at the top while SoNy side are struggling to get out of relegation zone.
