Gor Mahia sink sugar millers to stay top

[dropcap]A[/dropcap] solitary goal by striker Ephrem Guikan on the 37th minute was all Gor Mahia needed to down SoNy Sugar in a league match in Kisumu.

Gor Mahia dominated the game and would have banged in more goals but the opponents from Awendo were lucky to escape with just one.

SoNy side was behind the ball almost the entire game but Gor kept their patience while knocking the ball around looking for a breakthrough which towards the culmination of opening half – thanks to some fine work by Innocent Wafula who provide the assist for Guikan to slot the ball past SoNy keeper.

With the win, Gor have extended the lead at the top with a gap of six points to make it 34 points from 14 matches.

K’Ogalo will be heading to Nakuru to prepare for SportPesa Super Cup that kicks off on the 3rd of June.
